February Ride

Saturday, February 18th, 2012

Join us for this month’s Critical Mass on Friday, February 24. We begin meeting at Public Square at 6:30pm, then leave at 7pm to ride bikes. CCM happens every last Friday of the month regardless of snow, ice, cold, or rain. (However, rule of thumb is that, the nastier the weather, the shorter the ride.)

This month’s ride will end at Now That’s Class, 11213 Detroit Avenue. Now That’s Class will be extending happy hour for CCM participants until 9pm.

On Friday, January 27 we will begin meeting in the southwest quadrant of Public Square at 6:30pm, then leave at 7pm to ride bikes around Cleveland. CCM happens every last Friday of the month regardless of snow, ice, cold, or rain. (However, rule of thumb is that, the nastier the weather, the shorter the ride.)

A poll has been posted and this month’s ride will end at the location with the most votes. Please cast your vote here on where you think this month’s ride should end:https://www.facebook.com/groups/3082935471/10151173360260472/

UPDATE!  Hoopples will accommodate us after our ride this Friday. The owner will generously extend the happy hour price of $2 Labatts through 9:30. All other bottles will be $2.50 all night long. He said he would load up the juke box with credits so we can play whatever we want when we arrive and he will try to whip up some $1 pudding shots for our group. A great way to kick off CCM 2012!!  We will arrive at Hoopples around 8:30PM  Click here for a map of Hoopples.

Grab your bike, bundle up and join us as we start yet another great CCM year!

September Ride – 9/30/2011

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

The Cleveland Critical Mass September Ride takes place Friday, September 30. We begin meeting at 6:30pm on Public Square, then depart at 7pm sharp for an hour or so bike ride.

This month’s ride concludes in the Waterloo Arts District in Collinwood (per popular opinion in the CCM FB group), where the neighborhood is rolling out a gigantic party for CCM. The Cafe at Arts Collinwood will have food and drinks, plus live music in the gallery space and possibly some other entertainment in the back. The Beachland is tentatively planning to give CCM the ballroom, the back bar, and a DJ for the evening, and will have a full food menu available. The Slovenian Country House is having food and beer specials. Some of the shops in the district may stay open a little later, too. More details coming soon.

A group of CCM regulars from the neighborhood will be riding in from Collinwood, and anyone wanting to drive to Waterloo and park there is welcome to join. Just show up to the Cafe at Arts Collinwood by 6pm. And if you’re riding back to the west side after hanging out on Collinwood, it’s always an option to mass up with others and take Lakeshore Boulevard home as a group.

As always, please take a minute to look over CCM’s guiding principles in the about tab. Ride on!

This month’s ride is very special as two CCM enthusiasts, Bob Peck and Amy Dwyer Hawk will be getting married on their bikes at Public Square!
